The New Year is here and I am ready!

In past posts I have mentioned searching out and connecting with like minded people and groups.  I have been doing just that and have found a wonderful site to help me reach my goals.  Initially I joined the site SparkPeople to finally lose the nagging pounds that have creeped up over the past few years.  As I started tracking my daily eating habits and fitness routine, I realized what a truly remarkable site SparkPeople is.  It is loaded with resources, techniques, motivational tools, recipes - you name it, it's on the site.  I have been a member for one week and can't wait to log in every day.  It takes time to grasp all the information that is offered through the site but it is definitely something everyone should look into.  Take the time for yourself and check it out.  The Spark book hit the bookstores just the other day and I made sure to purchase a copy and I am so glad I did.  I just finished reading Chapter 2 and it talks about affirmations which I mention on the website page Motivate Me!.  I am a true believer in positive affirmations and goal setting.  Up to this point my goals have been somewhat vague and today I plan to sit down and write down what they actually are and move along with the reading in The Spark and use this as my guide in reaching my dreams.

I know that gardening, healthy living, fitness and sharing this with others are top priority.  Somehow they will all connect and evolve into the successful business I envision.  I feel I have found the core idea - Healthy Living through Gardening and it's not perfected yet but it is the beginning.  Taking small steps is a basic philosophy with The Spark and this has helped tremendously with my thinking process.  I feel the pressure has been lifted and I can succeed without overwhelming myself.  I joined the group to make myself accountable for losing the weight, but it will lead to much more than that.  It will guide me through the whole process of changing to a healthier happier lifestyle.

In past years I had stopped making New Year resolutions simply because it seemed like just a formality and I never really took them seriously.  This year is different - I am excited and I am ready for all that lies ahead in the future!!

Hoping all your dreams and goals are within your focus and motivate you to become all you are possible of being!

Happy New Year!!!

Till next time,
the girl @ TheRunningGarlic
